FAQs

What are your fees?

Please contact me for my rate. My fee is the same for in-person, teletherapy, or Ramble & Amble. All sessions are 60 minutes. I accept payment by cash, check, credit or debit card, Venmo, Paypal, or Zelle.

Do you take insurance?

I do not accept insurance, but wait! This does not mean that we cannot work together. I believe therapy should be accessible to everyone, and I do not want cost to prohibit you from getting the support you need. If you want to work with me, but are concerned about the cost, please reach out to me. We can discuss what fee might be able to work for both of us.

Many insurance plans offer reimbursement for mental health services. This means you would pay me for the session, but then the insurance plan would send you a check in the mail for anywhere from 60-80% of the session fee. Your portion ends up looking like a co-payment. If you’re not sure if you have these benefits, I would be happy to call your insurance company with you to see if you do. Also you can check with websites such as Zencare, Reimbursify, or Mentaya who can help you determine if you have these out-of-network benefits.

How long does therapy take?

This is entirely up to you. Some clients only need a few sessions while some end up looking for lifetime support. There is no right or wrong answer here. However, you may want to consider if you’ve witnessed a reduction in your symptoms and if you’ve accomplished your goals. If so, then I have done my job! I will not try and persuade you to stay in therapy. Of course, you are always welcome to come back when and if you need to.

How often should I come?

In order to achieve desired treatment outcomes, consistent weekly attendance is suggested. However, depending on the presenting concern, bi-weekly treatment may be sufficient subject to my discretion.
